2024 Farm Bill Status. With the days dwindling in the countdown to the election, the senate is in a time crunch to wrap up the farm bill. The farm bill has once again expired, as a yearlong extension of the massive agricultural spending package ended on monday night without congressional action.

The expiration date on the current farm. On november 15th, the senate voted to pass a house bill for a continuing resolution, which included an extension of the 2018 farm bill.
